our new space

The past few days have been spent unpacking boxes, piling furniture into storage, and finding a space for all of our things. I think the room is starting to feel more like our own. The space is small, but open and cozy. We are so grateful to my parents for letting us stay during this transition time. I think we are going to make some good memories here. Our dogs love the big back yard they are able to run around in without their leashes! I'm also looking forward to catching up with some friends around here who we haven't seen in awhile.

Also, we've kept the news on for updates about Fridays tragedy. I really can't imagine what people in that small town are feeling. It is so heartbreaking, and I find myself not wanting to think about it for too long. I'm just trying to remember the families in my prayers and finding comfort in the fact that their little ones are in a beautiful place now.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18
